Watch the documentary on Amazon Prime
In 2012, I met Woody Wise and became fast friends with him and his wife, Sandy.
Woody had been hosting a bi/monthly film club called ‘The Cliffhangers’ for over 30 years at that point.
Around 2010, Director Inda Reid met, quite by chance, a few of the guys in a donut shop in Burbank. She over-heard them discussing the films they were about to watch - and began a conversation with them that led to her asking if they would partake in a documentary. She expressed how she wanted to capture their life experiences, friendships and their love of film - especially black and white movies, including Westerns and film-noir.
The rest is history in the making, with myself coming on board a few years in to assist in any which way I could. Two more years of filming and what came out of it, was a project I am very proud to have been part of.
‘Brotherhood of the Popcorn’ was screened at numerous locations from 2014 through to 2016 at many film festivals.
